Every year in Austin we have an event called the Trail of Lights. Zilker Park is covered with incredible light displays as well as a giant, lit Christmas tree in the center of it all. It’s a wonderful display to see, and this year is the 50th anniversary of this proud Austin tradition.
If you’ve ever been there you’ve probably walked underneath the tree, looked up, and taken a photo or two. This painting recreates that view. It’s funny when I show this painting to people and they know exactly what it is without me telling them!
