Growing up during the 1980s, I was regularly exposed to amazing films every summer. It truly was a golden age of original storytelling, and every year brought new adventures to be a part of.
Many of those films were scored by the legendary composer John Williams. I think my second album ever was Star Wars, and since then I’ve built a healthy collection of music soundtracks by all sorts of composers. It’s the biggest part of music collection, and it all started in the late 70s with Star Wars.
I wanted to create this piece to celebrate just some of the magical work John Williams has created over the last 60 or so years. See if you can figure out all the film references I included. It truly is the music of my youth!
The original was painted on 24″x36″ canvas with acrylic paints.
